Rafael withdrew from the Croatian Open due to a knee injury.
Nadal pulls out of Croatia Open
French Open champion Rafael Nadal has pulled out of this week's Croatia Open.
The 19-year-old Spaniard aggravated a knee injury during his victory in the Mercedes Cup final on Sunday, his eighth clay court title of the year.
"Rafael called and said he was awfully sorry but that he couldn't play because of a knee injury," said Croatia Open tournament director Slavko Rasberger.
"He played the last three matches with the help of injections and said he cannot do it any more."
I think it might be a cover-up for fatigue, because ATP does not take fatigue as a reason of withdrawl. Well at least I hope so, because taking his time off to rest sounds much better than injury.
